“Work to replace several timber bridges in the Cessnock area has been completed. Cessnock City Council matched funding on a dollar for dollar basis and contracted Civilbuild Pty Ltd to carry out work to replace the bridges at Narone, Sweetman’s and Slack’s creeks on Wollombi Road.The bridge upgrades will reduce ongoing maintenance costs and more importantly, improve safety for motorists by providing wider two-lane bridges with improved road approaches.”
