Enjoy a romantic Valentines weekend in Wollombi Valley

Love is in the air next month so now is a perfect time to state thinking about a Valentines Weekend in Wollombi Valley. They say ‘in life, its not where you go its who you travel with’. There is nothing more romantic than a weekend away with the one you love . If you love someone who loves travel then a pre-booked weekend to Wollombi Valley is the perfect surprise.

We have a number of beautiful accommodations that can be booked via the Visit Wollombi website, www.visitwollombi.com.au

Whether its a romantic weekend for two, a family get together or a pet friendly cottage – we have it all.

Only 90 minutes from Sydney, Tourist Drive 33 will allow you to amble to Wollombi Valley on one of the most historic roads in NSW. Dotted with fruit stalls – a must stop is Jerry’s Café at Mangrove Mountain for a coffee and opportunity to stretch the legs.

On reaching the valley, The Trading Post is your family friendly dinner destination, just 6 kms from Wollombi – a quirky and historic venue that is loved by visitors to the valley. Established in 1820 it was on the ‘convict trail’ that transported convict labour to the area.

After a sleep in on Saturday morning enjoy a hearty breakfast at Myrtle and Stone café in Wollombi, then wander down to the Tavern  circa 1830, for lunch and a Dr Jurd’s Jungle Juice then walk back up the hill for an ice cream at The General Store.

Whether it be a romantic dinner for two or a get together for many Wollombi Kitchen is your perfect option. Situated in Gray’s Inn circa 1830 it’s another example of the history that surrounds you. By this time your hearts and tummies will be full of country hospitality

Spend your Sunday exploring boutique vineyards which are scattered throughout the valley or book the tennis courts to work off all that good food and wine. Finish off your weekend with a massage from the Hunter Massage Co before heading back to reality. www.huntermassageco.com.au

We hope you fall in love with the Wollombi Valley and this is the first of many visits.
