A number of retailers throughout the Wollombi Valley stock locally made produce, including the Wollombi General Store, which is open 7 days a week. The General Store often have locally grown vegies for sale.

Fancy a fun relaxing day making cheese?

Drop in for a day with us and learn how to make the very popular Camembert style and Ricotta cheese. At the end of the day you will be able to take your own cheese home to follow the maturing process.

Have you been experimenting with  cheese making and want to learn more about how the professionals make traditional Cheddar, Caerphilly, Blue Vein, Feta, Mozzarella and Bocconcini, Mascarpone, Brie, Chabichou, Swiss, Swiss Raclette and many more varieties using small vats of milk? Then come to one of our two days cheese workshop and be taught how to further develop your cheese making skills.

You will also take with you simple and clear instructions with practical tools and tricks to make future cheese making a fun and exciting experience and receive a certificate of achievement. Bookings are essential.

We stock Mulla Villa produce, jams and oils, Herbalist products by Roxanne as well as newspapers, milk, ice creams and grocery items, Olive Oil soap, Laguna Lavender products, and locally grown veggies in season.

Fresh bread is available every day except Monday – get your order in by 11am the day before.

Postal products are also available (although not the full range) – we are a Community Postal Agency. Parcels can be collected and sent (size and weight restrictions apply).

We refill 9kg gas bottles, and deliver both 45kg and 18kg bottles locally.

We have a good general knowledge of people and events locally, and can help most people with information and guidance.

OPENING HOURS: Open Monday-Wednesday from 8am to 5.30pm, Thursday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm, and Sunday from 8am to 5pm.

My Father’s Table workshops are held in the Hunter Valley and Newcastle. Located just 4km’s south of the Hunter Valley’s stunning Wollombi area, these small hand’s-on cooking classes use only freshest local produce, with Rita partnering with her neighbouring micro producers.

Specialising in Middle Eastern food that celebrates traditional methods and recipes, Rita creates an authentic paddock to plate cooking class experience.

Laguna Lavender is a family business near Wollombi in the NSW Hunter Valley. We grow lavender and offer a range of lavender based natural products. Our all-natural product range includes essential oil, culinary, teddy bears, pet products, beauty and body products plus home products using only the finest natural ingredients.

Maggie's Farm Garlic

Maggie has been growing garlic in Laguna for over 15 years. It is all hand planted and harvested, and lovingly grown with only natural organically based fertilisers. It is available for sale from late November (depending on the weather), and is usually all sold by February – so you have to be quick! Other fresh produce, (eg broccoli, cauliflower) is also available during winter.
