Valley Artists’ premiere of Noel Hodda’s latest play The Sculpture Garden happily coincides with the 16th Sculpture in the Vineyards held at various locations throughout the Valley in November.
The Sculpture Garden is directed by Bob Philippe. It is the story of a young woman and a young man, of a sister and a brother, of a husband and a wife, and of a father and a daughter.
“Everybody has secrets….”
The Sculpture Garden is like watching a tree grow … or a vine. From the streets of Paris to the Australian bush, love winds itself around people through time and place. There is romance … loss … recovery. Nothing is as it seems … or is it?
The Sculpture Garden is romantic and dark…yet … “In this light, everything is possible”.
Another top quality production from Valley Artists, The Sculpture Garden’s outstanding cast comprises Siobhan Dillon, Rod Sinnamon, Ross Fletcher, Karen Jones, Karen Toohey and Charlie Kessler.
Noel Hodda has worked in Australian theatre, film, television and radio for over thirty years as an actor, writer and teacher. A founding member of Valley Artists, Bob Philippe directed the company’s premiere of Noel’s play Across the Water in 2013. He adds The Sculpture Garden to a long list of directing credits for the company, including The Removalists, Hotel Sorrento, Honour, The Importance of Being Earnest, Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, Away, Money and Friends, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay! and The God of Carnage.
