Oil Paintings by Guntis Jansons
Guntis was born 1946 to Latvian parents. He arrived in Australia in 1950, and studied art at RMIT in Melbourne. Guntis worked for many years as an Art Director for many of the larger Advertising Agencies. His first solo Exhibition was at Hogarth Galleries in Sydney in 1976. Painting became a full time occupation after several more successful exhibitions. These days he paints mostly in oils and and his subjects vary from landscapes, portraits and figures. Guntis now lives full time in the Wollombi valley.
