Anglican Wedding Ceremonies
Set in the idyllic location of Wollombi and only 1.25 hours from Wahroonga, St John’s offers couples the opportunity to have their complete wedding ceremony conducted by an Anglican Priest in the historic church.
Designed by the eminent 19th-century architect Edmund Thomas Blacket, St John’s Anglican Church is built of sandstone and wood in the Gothic tradition.
The church’s interior is adorned with stained glass windows on either side of the nave and in the east behind the cedar altar, which carries large brass candlesticks. There are antique brass lamps above the aisle, which throw a soft light throughout the nave and over the cedar pews. In 1998 the church was fortunate to be given a single manual pipe organ. This lovely organ is more than 150 years old and can be used for your ceremony. It is listed in the Historic Organs of NSW.
We would be delighted to help you celebrate the love that brought you together and to your wedding day.
