Set at the base of the mountains on a beautiful valley floor, located in wine country in Wollombi, Cranky Rock gets its name from a 25 tonne sandstone rock that graces our Cottage. Situated 2 hrs Sydney, 1 hr Newcastle, 5 kms Wollombi.
Valley floor camping is in a protected area at the base of the mountains. Shared bbq cooking facilities, common fridge and an undercover area available. Septic toilet provided. We also provide gas for the BBQ, fire wood for the large communal fire pit, toilet paper and hand towels, hot shower, lighting and power for small appliances for the dining area in the shared shed. Also available for bush weddings and private events.
Awaken to the natural bush sounds of lyre birds. There’s a creek to cool your heels and walking tracks around our 120 acres of natural bush land. A working farm, dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
