“THEY might keep birds off crops, but Wollombi is hoping they do not scare away tourists. In its fourth year, the event was a bit of fun for the community that was becoming a tourist attraction, organiser Melanie Morschel said. Originally limited to the main roads of the village, privately owned land in central locations has been loaned to give the scarecrows pride of place.”
Thank you all for your messages and well wishes.
Like many areas of the state our beautiful Wollombi Valley has been impacted by bushfires, but we are pleased to say that the historic villages of Wollombi & Laguna have not been affected by the bushfire.
The businesses of the Wollombi Valley are open and looking forward to welcoming visitors back. We hope to see you soon!!
