Polina is an emerging artist working in various mediums. The essence of her work is to capture and illustrate people’s feelings and emotions through portraiture, linear drawings and ceramic sculpture.
“I love people … I love their eyes, their hands, their souls, their stories… I love capturing people’s emotions: mostly dark, sad, deep emotions that I was taught to hide, ignore and avoid as a child. I believe it is ok to feel sad and scared. It is ok to feel angry and ugly, and it is ok not to fit in. Finally, it is ok to be yourself. My art is the journey to finding confidence, strength, peace and kindness within myself. I believe that recognising and accepting your true self, (even if it is sad, angry, or lost at times) is the way to find peace within and be happy.”
