“My brain works overtime and ideas just pop into my head, or I may see something and just go for it. It is all about the feel at the time. Most of my weaving is done on the Saori, using either a 4 shaft or the two shaft Piccolo. Wearable Art is what I love to design the most. “It is a great feeling when an item you have made, is loved and worn out the door, after the purchase.”” Lyn Abbott
“I love weaving with beautiful fibres like silk, alpaca, and fine wools to create special wearables. But I complement this by using plant materials, chunky fibres and found objects to create hangings and vessels.” Lorraine Banks
“For me colour and texture are the turn ons. Now trying my own drafts as well. Love the freedom of the saori verses the structured designs on the 8 shaft.” Carol Doubleday
“Creating an article from yarn is a journey. I like strong colours with texture, and design for function, using up to 16 shaft looms.” Ken Hall
“I like playing with all fibres and patterns intrigue me. Working out how to duplicate them in weaving means a never ending supply of new challenges to create a usable and beautiful fabric.” Gillian Mould
